Im in school now to become a CNC Machinist. But I really think in America right now there are lots more machining jobs because more and more stuff is becoming expensive to import.
Hes right, Im a hobbiest and want to get into cnc machining, its fascinating stuff!
@expletusx i’m learning basic code in high school for this right now, and if you have common sense and a basic hands on skills, it can be easy. But if you aren’t good with computers and such then it probably isn’t the best thing for you.
@expletusx i want to go to school for this too! have you had any luck on finding a school??? is it expensive im trying to find out!!!!!!!!!!!!!
is it expensive to get certified for cnc machining>>>>>?????
i want to get certified for this! WHERE CAN I GO TO SCHOOL FOR THIS AND HOW MUCH DOES THE COURSES COST?????
@Yinkaldinho How long does the course take and how much does it cost???
Is learning CNC hard? I think I am going to go to school and learn it. My dad has a manufacturing company and would pay me more if I learned something like this.

Hi,
Would you please tell me what’s a Home made CNC?
Thanks,
Nambyar
@kristijanadrian If you havnt learned by now, CAD is Computer Aided Design which is the design process, usually where the blueprints are created. CAM is Computer Assisted Manufacturing where the blueprint is turned into a coded program and entered into a machine and the product is produced. Hope that helps.
I have a CNC motor controller 3 axis Toshiba TB6560AHQ and 3 BS57HB56-03 Stepper Motors but when I power up the systems after while my motors “gets hot” without using them (in non operational mode) is that any normal?
Do you know if Mach3 v R1.83 can work with USB to Parallel port converting pluck? Because I have a laptop with no Parallel port so I bought a USB to Parallel port converting plucks any suggestions welcome.
What´s the real difference between CAD and CAM? Are they like two languages that have to be translated into each other? Why not just one? Why is controlling needed since I thought that it´s done with CAD/CAM.
hmm any mention of conversational programming? in some cases you’d end up completely skipping the “CAD” and the “CAM” steps…which can definitely be lengthy.
Thanks bro for this amazing video, this is what i’m going to school for.
Very nice information. Thank you

On a different note, I was in Ireland last Christmas. Loved it. Great people.
