This self-directed Course is designed for the beginning herbalist and explains the Chinese Five Seasons, their corresponding organs, food suggestions and exercises for health maintenance. This Course can help you in personally living a healthier life or offer you a satisfying alternative career choice, where you are bound to do well with the growing demand for nature based therapies.
This course will help you to understand the basic principles of Seasonal Health Maintenance and teach you to choose the herbs you should use. To supplement your understanding, our artistically designed charts illustrate these concepts which you can copy and print for your personal
use. You also get useful links to informative articles on Alternative Health options.
The Course will also specifically focus on the problems for men and women 40+ years of age especially herbs and supplements that work best for different hormonal/glandular deficiencies.
By the end of the course, students should possess the following knowledge and skills:
1. Ability to identify the Five Seasons and their corresponding organs.
2. Have a working knowledge of the specific organs in our Energy System and how the Five Energy Systems flow from organ to organ.
3. Have an understanding of how to change your diet and exercise for each season by following nature's lead.
4. Understand Prevention of Disease vs. Reaction to Disease
5. Have a working knowledge of the special concerns of men and women as they age into their 40's.
6. Have the ability to put together a Seasonal Herb Maintenance program.
7. Know which herbs and supplements have been used historically for the different body systems.
Week #1 - Learn How and Why the Seasonal Approach Works
In the first week, you will learn about the specific organs in our Energy System and how the Five Energy Systems flow from organ to organ. You will learn about each season and their supporting herbs and how to follow nature's lead with diet and exercise.
During this initial period you will learn why it's better to take a Preventive and Gradual approach to health maintenance.
Week #2 - The Special Concerns of Men and Women Over the Age of 40
This class focuses on the special concerns of men and women as they age into their 40's. You will learn how to support the body through menopause, prostate enlargement, loss of desire, etc. with suggestions for herbs, supplements, homeopathics and essential oils.
Week #3 - Herb and Supplement Overview and Possible Remedies for Different Body Systems
People are starting to re-examine the value of natural and safe herbal remedies. Learn why so many people are choosing the natural approach to health. You will learn which herbs and supplements have been used historically for the different body system. This course is KSA201-L *
